he is 42 and said he's never been in love (never married), he's not sure what it feels like. I told him that when you're in love you don't have to question it, it should come naturally without prompting. The things he does for me and the way he treats me makes me feel like he really did love me, this is why it hurts so much. He was just being nice? he wasn't feeling "it" all this time, I wish he had said something sooner to me. I'm going to take your advice and take a break from it all. I guess I don't have a choice. I don't wish to be with anyone who doesn't love me anyhow, I would rather be alone.

Thinking of Leaving
I always felt as if he loved me, he treated me so good and seem to care about me so much. So it's a real shock to hear that he doesn't share the same feelings as me. I know I have to move on, it's going to be so hard. Thanks for your advice and support.

jgnat I'll try the B vitamins as well, couldn't hurt I suppose. Thanks
So does this mean that everyone that I kiss will eventually get the virus but it won't flare up unless something triggers it?

wow thanks so much for this information, does anyone know if these medications are prescription only? I'm actually going to the pharmacy right now to try and get a hold of some, guess I'll find out soon.

well it use to be that I only got them when I'm very tired and lack sleep, but I went out in the sun for about 5 hours to pull weeds and now I have two on my lips and one on the tip of my noseI hate them as they are painful and take so long to heal
Thanks for sharing your experiences though, I"m glad to hear I'm not the ONLY one.

didn't know about the oral sex part.....that really sucks
I take lysine (amino acid) pills and they dry up quicker than if I took nothing but they are still painful and I hate them. Wish they would just go away. Incidentally my previous boyfriend who I dated for two long years never got them and he use to kiss me even when I had them
